Work with Us
Along with conducting our own research on the scope and impact of the marine microplastics problem, we are also interested in collaborating with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations that need to conduct on-the-water testing. We are particularly interested in working with organizations that are focused on:
- Marine environmental contaminants
- Marine pollution
- Marine wildlife conservation
Data-Driven Advocacy
As a private operating foundation, we are making our findings available to the public and the scientific community through online and academic publications. If you are interested in using our hard data for your organization's research, we invite you to get in touch.
Our team is skilled at on-the-water sampling and data collection; and, depending on your specific needs, we may be able to assist with sample analysis as well. Our President, Lacy Fabian, PhD, is a researcher and program manager with 20 years of relevant experience. For more information, please email Lacy at lacy[at]followingseas.org.
Education and Community Engagement
We develop educational materials for use by public and private educational institutions as well as other complementary organizations. We are also interested in collaborating with complementary organizations to advance shared goals. We are committed to community engagement as well, from participating in relevant events to offering demonstrations to classrooms and home school groups.
Volunteering with Following Seas
If you are interested in volunteering with Following Seas, we want to hear from you. We offer volunteer opportunities related to each of our three core initiatives: (i) on-the-water research; (ii) data-driven advocacy; and, (iii) community education and engagement. Contact us to let us know what you are interested in doing, and we will be happy to discuss the opportunities we have available.
