Lacy Fabian, PhD
President, CEO & Director
Lacy Fabian, PhD is our President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She is also one of our Directors. Lacy holds a doctorate in Human Services Psychology, and entered the nonprofit world more than 15 years ago as a Program Manager and Healthcare Evaluation Specialist for some of the largest science and research organizations in the world. Today, she leads our research efforts, relying on her background in data collection and analysis. She is an avid sailor who has a passion for protecting all forms of marine and terrestrial wildlife.

Jeff Fabian, JD
COO & Director
Jeff Fabian is our COO. He is also one of our Directors. Jeff is a non-practicing lawyer who began his career working for law firms and as an in-house corporate attorney. He has more than a decade of experience running a private for-profit business, and sold a privately-held business in 2023. With Following Seas, he manages our corporate responsibilities and other aspects of our daily operations. Along with casual sailing, he enjoys yacht racing and has been on the podium at Charleston Race Week.

Nicole Brocato, PhD
Director
Nicole Brocato, PhD is one of our Directors. Nicole holds a doctorate in Human Services Psychology, and spends most of her professional time focused on wellbeing and institutional effectiveness at Wake Forest University. For Following Seas, she lends her expertise to research and educational activities, using her strategic planning and change management skills. She is an outdoor and plant enthusiast who readily immerses herself in nature.
