Who We Are

Following Seas Marine Impact Research, Inc. is a South Carolina nonprofit corporation located in Charleston, SC. We are a team of experienced researchers, writers, kayakers, and sailors who are passionate about highlighting the scope and impacts of the global marine microplastics problem. Get to know our Officers and Directors.

What We Do

We conduct on-the-water microplastics sampling in inland, coastal, and offshore waters. After collecting samples, we clean, prepare, and analyze them in our "lab." We then use our analyses to generate data that we use to write scientific papers, online articles, proposals, and more. Learn more about our "lab" and our work.
